Speech Therapy for the condition: autism
Autism is a condition that requires speech therapy treatment. However, autism and disalahfahamkan often thought to be something that can be left without. However, that should not be how things work. What Exactly Is It?
Basically, autism is a neurological disorder. It is classified into pervasive Development Disorder. The main characteristic of autism is that it affects three main areas in relation to speech and language. This triad is impairment of the child: social interaction, communication and imaginative play.
Pervasive Development Disorder is actually a general term for Autistic Spectrum Disorders. By using the term ‘pervasive’, he emphasized that the defects of various psychological deficits outside the development. On the other hand, the term ‘development’ which places emphasis on the occurrence of disease than the child’s development later in life.
Autism is only one condition under this umbrella. Other conditions include Rett’s Disorder, which is a neurodevelopmental disorder that shows symptoms begin during infancy or early childhood.
Other children is Disintegrative Disorder; it somewhat similar to autism but the difference is two to four years old children living somewhat normal, they begin showing symptoms.
Asperger’s syndrome also in the shade. This is sometimes called high-functioning autism. Lastly, PDD-NOS or pervasive development Disordere-If Not Specified is also related to autism. They are children who present with symptoms that are similar but not quite in accordance with other provisions.
